Latent semantic indexing, sometimes referred to as latent semantic analysis, is a scientific method developed in the late 1980s to increase the precision of information retrieval. It uses a method called singular value decay to scan unstructured data within texts and identify similarities between the concepts contained within the content.
In reality, it obtains the hidden (latent) relationships between words (semantics) in order to improve information understanding (indexing).
It’s a strategy with the help of which the users can easily make sure of extensible results in all the searches they made. It allows users to get the results that closely match with the keyword used by them.
