Eid Celebration at Smart Mentors
Eid, commonly known as Eid-ul-Fitr, a festival celebrated by the Muslim community to celebrate the conclusion of the month of fasting.
This festival is called Eid as it means "breaking of FAST".
Ramzan, the month of fasting, symbolizes the faith of muslim community in Almighty. It also spreads a divine message of unity and brotherhood. It is not merely restricting oneself from having food but also to refrain from all kinds of evils and illicit practices in Islam.
The month-long fasting ends with the festival of Eid that signifies a reward for their whole fasting.
This year, Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated on 5th June to mark the end of Ramzan, the Islamic holy month of fasting. Smart Mentors celebrated the festival with gusto. The classes were decorated with flowers & balloons; the students & mentors celebrated it by wishing each other and relishing the common recipe of this festival - The delicious meethi seviyan (Sweet Vermicelli).
