Indian Independence Day is always celebrated with great enthusiasm and even COVID-19 couldn't deter it.

Due to the pandemic, students at our institute were receiving virtual training but this didn't stop us from spreading cheers & patriotism on independence day with them.

The mentors & students engaged in fun activities such as Dumb Charades and sang patriotic songs together on video conferencing. There was a competition held for all our students- " India at 74", where they can do any creative design or write about it and share their ideas. Every student came with great designs and ideas. It was truly impressive to see young minds at work.

The mentors also provided them with the platform to discuss how they want to use their skills and work for the betterment of the country. This was the first time the celebrations were done virtually but it did create a sense of unity and patriotism among everyone.

The coronavirus crisis has forced the Indian government to enforce lockdown across the nation, following which, schools, colleges, education institutions, and businesses had to close temporarily. Students & professionals who were seeking training to sharpen their skills or to learn something new had to pause their learning cycle because of the pandemic. We rose to this situation & offered students the ability to continue getting trained in web education through our virtual training programs. We have been running virtual training programs for a long time though and the students have finally used the full potential of virtual programs.

Smart Mentors shared the same festive celebration with the students. The computer labs & classrooms were decorated with kites & balloons to enhance the festive mood.

The ambience was brightly joyous & to add the cherry on top, Smartmentors' students were treated with flavorful snacks & sweets, traditionally eaten on Uttarayan.

This Uttarayan, the students & mentors decided to fly kites with Indian Manjha to contribute towards saving birds from the unforeseen occurrences.

Diwali festival symbolizes the victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance. To celebrate this festival of lights, all the students & faculties were dressed in their traditional best. Rangolis & painted diyas added glamour to the festivities.

The computer labs & classrooms were decorated by recyclable plastics & old newspapers. The ambiance was all about cheer and love to gear students for Diwali vacation. The students were treated with delicious snacks to add to their excitement of the celebration. Smart Mentors' students & faculties celebrated this Diwali with “No crackers” oath to contribute to the environment.

The students of Smart Mentors Web Academy were caught up in the spirit of patriotism and celebrated Independence Day. The computer labs at the academy were decorated with Tricolour balloons and flags. Students wore traditional attire which added extra spark to the event. All students wore special Tricolour badges.
