Indian Independence Day is always celebrated with great enthusiasm and even COVID-19 couldn't deter it.

Due to the pandemic, students at our institute were receiving virtual training but this didn't stop us from spreading cheers & patriotism on independence day with them.

The mentors & students engaged in fun activities such as Dumb Charades and sang patriotic songs together on video conferencing. There was a competition held for all our students- " India at 74", where they can do any creative design or write about it and share their ideas. Every student came with great designs and ideas. It was truly impressive to see young minds at work.

The mentors also provided them with the platform to discuss how they want to use their skills and work for the betterment of the country. This was the first time the celebrations were done virtually but it did create a sense of unity and patriotism among everyone.

The coronavirus crisis has forced the Indian government to enforce lockdown across the nation, following which, schools, colleges, education institutions, and businesses had to close temporarily. Students & professionals who were seeking training to sharpen their skills or to learn something new had to pause their learning cycle because of the pandemic. We rose to this situation & offered students the ability to continue getting trained in web education through our virtual training programs. We have been running virtual training programs for a long time though and the students have finally used the full potential of virtual programs.

Smart Mentors shared the same festive celebration with the students. The computer labs & classrooms were decorated with kites & balloons to enhance the festive mood.

The ambience was brightly joyous & to add the cherry on top, Smartmentors' students were treated with flavorful snacks & sweets, traditionally eaten on Uttarayan.

This Uttarayan, the students & mentors decided to fly kites with Indian Manjha to contribute towards saving birds from the unforeseen occurrences.

Diwali festival symbolizes the victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance. To celebrate this festival of lights, all the students & faculties were dressed in their traditional best. Rangolis & painted diyas added glamour to the festivities.

The computer labs & classrooms were decorated by recyclable plastics & old newspapers. The ambiance was all about cheer and love to gear students for Diwali vacation. The students were treated with delicious snacks to add to their excitement of the celebration. Smart Mentors' students & faculties celebrated this Diwali with “No crackers” oath to contribute to the environment.

The students of Smart Mentors Web Academy were caught up in the spirit of patriotism and celebrated Independence Day. The computer labs at the academy were decorated with Tricolour balloons and flags. Students wore traditional attire which added extra spark to the event. All students wore special Tricolour badges. Each student came up and shared his views on the significance of the day. The day ended with a Special guest lecture on Cyber Security by our COO, Sanjay Dange, to share the importance of online presence & security among youngsters.

Eid, commonly known as Eid-ul-Fitr, a festival celebrated by the Muslim community to celebrate the conclusion of the month of fasting.

This festival is called Eid as it means "breaking of FAST".

Ramzan, the month of fasting, symbolizes the faith of muslim community in Almighty. It also spreads a divine message of unity and brotherhood. It is not merely restricting oneself from having food but also to refrain from all kinds of evils and illicit practices in Islam.

The month-long fasting ends with the festival of Eid that signifies a reward for their whole fasting.

This year, Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated on 5th June to mark the end of Ramzan, the Islamic holy month of fasting. Smart Mentors celebrated the festival with gusto. The classes were decorated with flowers & balloons; the students & mentors celebrated it by wishing each other and relishing the common recipe of this festival - The delicious meethi seviyan (Sweet Vermicelli).

The first quarter of 2019 has been very vital for the team at Smart Mentors that conducted 57 workshops on Web Designing, UI/UX Development, Graphics Designing, Digital Marketing, Quality Testing, and various short-term web courses. This was in addition to our regular Certification Courses in various web technologies. The team kept itself on toes in order to achieve its mission of spreading web education to masses. We also organized Internship Training programmes for hundreds of college aspirants.

We trained a total of 228 students in different training courses through our classroom training program and virtual training program in the first quarter of 2019. The maximum enrollments were for Graphics and Web Designing Courses. We carried out 30 specialized workshops in Graphics Designing and Web Designing Courses.

Today, we take pride in our expanded family of 25+ Mentors and 255+ enrollments for the second quarter.

The first quarter has really been the most successful quarter of our academy & we would like to thank everyone who remained involved with us directly or indirectly.

Our motto is to strengthen coming generations with the power of knowledge.

The 69th Republic Day of India was celebrated with gaiety and patriotic warmth at SmartMentors. The class was decorated with balloons & ribbons. The flag hoisting accompanied by speeches of students. The celebration was attended by all the students, faculty & our founder. Our founder congratulated the students on the occasion of the 69th Republic Day and said that the country has made enormous progress in various spheres since Independence. He specially mentioned the advancements made in the education and the Information Technology sectors.
