Web design and web development are completely different.

Practically, web design refers to the aesthetic portion of a website, or what can be seen immediately by the web page visitor. This requires a more visual-aesthetic skill set.

Web developers are generally considered as a group of people who develop the coding of products. Under normal circumstances, Web developers get the design of the page from the Web designer and then use front-end development technology to encode these pages.
